He’s / She’s a .. II. Materials: - Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards, CD. - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards. III. Method: Communicative Language Teaching, Work individually, pair work, group work. III. Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up: Shark attack JOBS - T divides the class into 2groups In turn, each group will guess the letter of the word. Objectives: * By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: + listen and tick the correct pictures. + develop writing skill. + sing the song: “ My family”. * Language focus: - Structure: A: What does your .. do? B: He/She ’s a __________. - Differentiated teaching: + Incomplete Ss: can hear the key words. + Well-completed Ss: can hear the whole sentences. II. Materials: - Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards, CD. - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards. III. Method: - Communicative Language Teaching/Work individually, pair work, group work. III. Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up Brainstorming JOBS Grade 4 Activity 4: Let’s sing * Procedure: - T runs through the lyric first. - Ss listen to the recording once. - Ss listen the 2nd time and sing. - Group A sing first then group B. - Let Ss practice in pairs. some Ss sing the song in front of class. Consolidation: - Content: Review the song / rewrite the writing. Homework: - Review voc. and pattern, sing the song. Week: Period: Unit 12: WHAT DOES YOUR FATHER DO? Lesson 2 (1, 2, 3) p. 14 I. Objectives: * By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: - ask and answer question about places to work. - use the words and phrases related to the topic. - Ss can develop some following competences: + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 3, act 4 Grade 4 Where does a doctor work? A doctor works in a hospital Activity 3: Practice => Point and say * Procedure: - T models T – whole class. - Whole class – T Group A – G. B => good St1 – good St2. - Pair works some weak pairs represent in front of class. Activity 4: Production => Let’s talk ( Role play) 1. What does your father/ mother/ grandpa/ grandma / .. do? 2. Where does he/ she work? - Ss role play, one asks and one answers ( T models with Ss first ) - T & good Ss’ feedback after each option. - In pairs, Ss ask and answer about jobs and places of work. Consolidation: - Content: Review form. Give feedback. Homework: - Learn voc. and pattern. Grade 4 * Procedure: - T shows the pictures on board - T & good Ss run through the pictures. - Ss‘prediction the order of pictures. - T plays recording 3times, Ss listen & number (individually). - Ss share with their partner. - let weak or average Ss correct on board. (let good Ss tell the words they can hear) - T’s feedback. - Let Ss practice in pairs. - Call on some pairs to perform in front of the class. Activity 3: Look and write * Procedure: - Show the posters on board. Run through the pictures. - Ss discuss with partners then draw & write individually share with their friends. - Choose 3 good Ss ( in 2 teams) write on the board. - T checks and gives feedback. Activity 4: Let’s play Grade 4 - Differentiated teaching: + Incomplete Ss: can pronounce the sounds “ ie”, “ea” and listen and write + Well-completed Ss: can pronounce the sounds well , listen and write and chant well. II. Materials: - Teacher’s: textbook, workbook, recording. - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards III. Method: Audio Lingual Method / Work individually, pair work, group work. III. Then some Ss write on the board. - T corrects and gives feedback. Activity 2: Listen and repeat * Procedure: - Put the phonics letters “ie”, “ea” on the board & say them a few times. - Ask Ss to repeat. - Prompt Ss to say the words & the sentences. - Do choral repetition of the words & sentences. Activity 3: Listen and circle Grade 4 Week: Period: Unit 12: WHAT DOES YOUR FATHER DO? Lesson 3 (4, 5, 6) p.17 I. Objectives: * By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to - Read and get the information from the text and complete the table. - Write about the jobs of their family members. - Ss can develop some following competences: + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act 4 + Problem-solving competence: act 2, act 3 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, act 3, act 4 + Problem-solving and creative competence: act 4 * Language focus: - Reading skill / Writing skill. II. Materials: - Teacher’s: books, pictures, flash cards, CD. -Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards III. Method: Communicative Language Teaching / Work individually, pair work, group work. III. Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up Ss recite the chant “Jobs and place of work - T divides class into 2 teams, one asks and one answers. - T give feedback. Activity 2: Read and Complete Grade 4 - T’s feedback. Consolidation: - Review how to do writing, reading text well. - What have you learnt from the lesson today? - What are the core values of the lesson? ( if the teacher can take from the lesson). - Praise some Ss who are hard working/active/good as well as encourage others to try more. + Give feedback Homework: - Review vocabulary and structures of Unit 12. - WB: E, F.
