 I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the period, Ss will be able to:
 + Use the words and phrases related to the topic Time.
 + Ask and answer questions about time, using What time is it? It’s.
 - Ss can develop some following competences: 
 + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act 4
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 3
 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, act 3, act 4
 + Problem-solving and creative competence: act 4
 * Language focus: 
 - Vocabulary: time, o’clock, number (fifteen, twenty, thirty, forty)
 - Structure: What time is it? It’s
 II. Materials:
 - Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards, CD.
 - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards.
 III. Method: Communicative Language Teaching, Work individually, pair work, group 
 work.
 III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up: 
 Hangman TIME
 - T divides the class into 2groups In turn, each group will guess the letter of the word.
 Activity 2: Presentation:
 Look, listen and repeat

 • Set the scene:

 - Ss practice in pairs; call on some pairs to perform in front of the class.
 Activity 4: Production: (Close pairs)

 - Learn by heart the voc. and pattern.

I. Objectives:
 * By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to: 
 + listen and tick the correct pictures.
 + develop writing skill.
 + sing the song: “ What time is it?”.
 * Language focus: 
 - Structure: A: What time is it?
 B: It’s _______________.
 - Differentiated teaching:
 + Incomplete Ss: can hear the key words.
 + Well-completed Ss: can hear the whole sentences.
 II. Materials:
 - Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards, CD.
 - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards.
III. Method:
 - Communicative Language Teaching/Work individually, pair work, group work. 
III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
 Bingo
 five ten fifteen
 twenty twenty-five thirty

 Grade 4
 * Procedure:
 - Let Ss look at these pictures & practice in pairs 
 write individually correct on the board
 - Have Ss correct on board 
 - T’s feedback => correction
Activity 4: 
 Let’s sing 
 * Procedure:
 - T runs through the lyric first.
 - Ss listen to the recording once.
 - Ss listen the 2nd time and sing.
 - Group A sing first then group B.
 - Let Ss practice in pairs. some Ss sing the song in front of class.
  Consolidation:
 - Content: Review the song / rewrite the writing. 
  Homework:
 - Review voc. and pattern, sing the song. 
 Grade 4
 - T sets the scene Ss answer who they are. 
 - T plays the recording , Ss listen & repeat play roles.
 - Write the pattern on the board. (T & good Ss find out the form and use.)
 What time do you get up?
 I get up at six o’clock.
 Activity 3: Practice => Point and say 
 * Procedure:
 - T models T – whole class.
 - Whole class – T Group A – G. B => good St1 – good St2.
 - Pair works some weak pairs represent in front of class. 
 Activity 4: Production => Let’s talk ( Role play)
 1. What time is it?
 2. What time do you .?
 - Ss role play, one asks and one answers ( T models with Ss first )
 - T & good Ss’ feedback after each option. 
 - In pairs, Ss ask and answer about their daily routines. 
 Consolidation:
 - Content: Review form. 
 Give feedback. 
 Homework:
 - Learn voc. and pattern. 
 Grade 4
 * Procedure:
 - T shows the pictures on board - T & good Ss run through the pictures.
 - Ss‘ prediction the time in each picture.
 - T plays recording 3times, Ss listen & draw the time they hear (individually).
 - Ss share with their partner.
 - let weak or average Ss correct on board. (let good Ss tell the words they can 
hear) 
 - T’s feedback.
 - Let Ss practice in pairs.
 - Call on some pairs to perform in front of the class.
 Activity 3: Draw and write the time
 * Procedure:
 - Show the posters on board. Run through the pictures. 
 - Ss discuss with partners then draw & write individually share with their friends.
 - Choose 3 good Ss ( in 2 teams) write on the board.
 - T checks and gives feedback.
 Activity 4: Let’s play: 
 Grade 4
 + Well-completed Ss: can pronounce the sounds well , listen and write and chant well.
 II. Materials:
 - Teacher’s: textbook, workbook, recording.
 - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards
 III. Method: Audio Lingual Method / Work individually, pair work, group work. 
 III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
 Chain game
 *Procedure:
 - Ss work in pairs, ask and answer about their daily routines using “What time do you 
.? I . at.. 
 - T gives feedback.
 Activity 2: Listen and repeat 
 * Procedure:
 - Put the phonics letters “oo” on the board & say them a few times.
 - Ask Ss to repeat.
 - Prompt Ss to say the words & the sentences.
 - Do choral repetition of the words & sentences.
 Activity 3: Listen and write
 *Procedure:
 - Ss’ prediction (weak Ss guess the word they can hear). 
 Grade 4
