Period 33
 UNIT 6: Where’s your school?
 Lesson 1 (1, 2)
I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
 + use the words and phrases related to the topic School.
 + Ask and answer question about where a school is, using “ Where’s your school? It’s in + 
(place)”
 - Ss can develop some following competences: 
 + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act 4
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 3
 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, act 3, act 4
 + Problem-solving and creative competence: act 4
 *Language focus: 
 - Vocabulary: street, road, village, district.
 - Strucrure: Where’s your school? It’s in ..
 - Differentiated teaching:
 + Incomplete ss: can know and remember some words ( street, road ) to talk and practice 
 the pattern. 
 + Well-completed ss: can know and remember all the words about where a school is and 
 use the pattern correctly.
 II. Materials:
 -Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards, CD.
 -Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards
IV. Method:
 - Communicative Language Teaching
 - Total Physical Response
 - Model- action- talk 
 - Natural Approach
 - 3Ps
 - Work individually, pairwork, groupwork
IV. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
 - Hang man: s c h o o l
 + T gives instruction and checks.
 + Ss listen to the instruction and whole class play the game. 
 Procedure:
 + Point to each character in the picture & elicit his/ her name & the words to fill the gaps.
 + T models a picture (ask and answer)
 + T asks  whole class answer.
 + T ask  s answer.
 + Ss ss (Open pairs) (Good Ss)
 + Ss work in pair in 2 minutes (Close pairs)
 + T call some pairs present.
 + Good Ss will help the below average Ss
 Activity 4: Production
 - Play game: “chain game”
 + T gives instruction and checks.
 + Ss listen to the instruction and understand the rule of the game.
 + T calls some volunteers stand in front of class to ask and answer.
 “ Where’s your school?- It’s in My Khanh village.”
  Consolidation:
 - Content: Review vocabulary and form.
 + Vocabulary: street, road, village, district.
 + Strucrure: Where’s your school? It’s in ..
 - Procedure:
 + ask students to answer the following questions:
 What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
 What are the core values of the lesson? ( if the teacher can take from the lesson). 
 + Praise some ss who are hard working/ active/ good. as well as encourage others 
to try more.
 + Give feedback 
  Homework
 - Learn by heart vocabulary and the pattern.
 - Procedure:
 + Tell pupils that they are going to listen to three dialogues about someone’s abilities and 
tick the correct pictures.
 + Have pupils look at the pictures to identify the similarities and differences among 
them. Check understanding.
 + Play the recording (twice). 
 + Get pupils to swap their answers before checking as a class. 
 Activity 3: 
 -Content 4: Look and write
 - Procedure:
 - T gives instructions.
 - SS work in groups to discuss. 
 - T asks ss to write where the school are.
 - Ss do the task in 2 minutes.
 - Ss compare their answers with their partner. 
 - Call some ss to write their product.
 - T gives feedbacks. Week 9 
Period 35
 UNIT 6: Where’s your school 
 Lesson 2 (1, 2, 3)
I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
 + use the words and phrases related to the topic School.
 + ask and answer questions about what class someone is in, using “ What class are you 
 in? I’m in Class.., What class is he / she in? He’s / She’s in Class”
 - Ss can develop some following competences: 
 + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act 4
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 3
 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, act 3, act 4
 + Problem-solving and creative competence: act 4
 *Language focus: 
 - Strucrure: “ What class are you in? I’m in Class..
 What class is he / she in? He’s / She’s in Class”
 - Differentiated teaching:
 + Incomplete Ss: can ask and answer “ What class are you in? I’m in class_____.
 + Well-completed Ss: can ask and answer all the patterns.
 II. Materials:

 - Ss work in groups.

  Consolidation:
 - Content: Review the form.
+ Form: What class are you in? I’m in Class ______.
 What class is he / she in? He’s / She’s in Class _______.
 - Procedure:
 + ask students to answer the following questions:
 What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
 What are the core values of the lesson? ( if the teacher can take from the lesson).

Procedure:
 - Set the scene
 - T elicits the pictures and gives instructions.
 - SS work in pairs to guess the answers.
 - Play audio and have students listen (twice).
 - Ss listen to four dialogues about what the four characters can do and number the pictures.
 - Ss compare their answers with their partner. 
 - Call some Ss to give their answers .
 - Play audio again and have students listen and check the answer.
 - T feedbacks.
 Activity 3: 
 -Content 5: Look and write
 - Procedure:
 - T gives instructions.
 - T asks ss to write the answers to the questons about what the children can do, using the 
pictures cues.
 - Ss do the task independently in 2 minutes.
 - Ss compare their answers with their partner.
 - Call some ss to write their product.
 - T gives feedbacks.
 Week 10
Period 37
 UNIT 6: Where’s your school 
 Lesson 3 (1, 2, 3)
I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
 - use words and phrases related to the topic School.
 - pronounce the sounds of the letter sch, sk and str in the words school, skipping and street 
respectively.
 - say the chant “ School,school, school”
 - Ss can develop some following competences: 
 + Communicative and collaborative competence: act 1, act 4
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1, act 2, act 3
 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, act 3, act 4
 + Problem-solving and creative competence: act 4
 *Language focus: 
 - Sound: sch, sk and str 
 - Chant: “ School,school, school”
 - Differentiated teaching:
 + Incomplete Ss: can listen and read the letters (sch, sk and str) , words (school, skipping and 
street)
 + Well-completed Ss: can listen, read , write letters, words and sentences. They can listen and 
check the answers.
 II. Materials:
 -Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards,CD.
 -Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards
III. Method:
 - Audio Lingual Method
 - Total Physical Response
 -Work individually, pairwork, groupwork 
IV. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
 Game: “Lucky flowers” 
 - Procedure:
 + T gives instruction and checks.
 + Ss listen to the instruction and Ss play the game into 2 groups.
 + Ss in each group will choose the flowers if they are lucky flowers their group will get 2 
stars. 
 + If not, Ss have to ask and answer and get 2 stars with correct answers.
 + The group gets more stars will be winner.
