 Period 1 UNIT 1: NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN
 Lesson 1 (1, 2)
I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the period, Sts will be able to:
 + know how to greet someone formally.
 - Good sts: apply these expressions well.
 - Weak sts: read these ones or remember two or three of them.
 + use the words and phrases related to the topic Introduction.
 + use Good morning /afternoon/ Good evening. I’m + (name)/ Nice to meet you.
 * Language focus: 
 - Vocabulary: Good morning /afternoon/ Good evening, nice to meet you, I’m very well.
 - Strucrure: - How are you? – I’m very well, Thank you.
 II. Materials:
 - Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards, CD.
 - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards.
III. Method: Communicative Language Teaching, Work individually, pair-work, groupwork.
III. Teaching activities:
 * Warm up: (informal greeting) Shark attack - H-e-l-l-o
 - T divides the class into 2groups In turn, 1 st stands up & says out 1 letter randomly if there is 
that letter in the key word, that group doesn’t go down & if there isn’t that letter, that group will go 
down 1 step (weak sts are prioritized).
 - The winner is the group find out the key word first or go down least.
 Activity 1: Presentation:
 Look, listen and repeat
 • Pre-Teach vocabulary:
 + Good morning (situation)
 + Good afternoon (visual)
 + Good evening (explanation)
 b. Set the scence:
 - T asks good sts to introduce the 
characters in the picture and what they are 
doing.
 - T plays the recording and asks Sts to 
listen & point to the lines, then 
listen & repeat. - Good morning, 
 * Target item: - Good afternoon, .
 - Good evening,...

Activity 4: => Let’s sing
* Procedure:
 - T runs through the song first.
 sts listen to the recording 1 time. 
 listen the 2nd time. 
 and follow sing each sentence sts A sing first + sts B sing the next ones.
 - Let sts practice in pairs. some good sts represent in front of class.
  Consolidation:
 - Content: Review the song / rewrite the writing. 
  Homework:
 - Do Ex B on + E1/p. 6 / Rewrite the writing / Review the song.

 - Pair works some weak pairs represent in front of class. => real practice.
 - Good pairs exchange the names.
Activity 4: Production => Let’s talk ( Lucky number)

 - T explains how to play this game calls a st to retell the rule. 
 divides the class into 2 teams which team can get more marks will win.
 - T & good sts’ feedback after each option. (weak sts do number 2, 4).
 - T & sts correct exercise => T asks average sts to consolidate. 
 Consolidation:
 - Content: Review form. Goodbye. See you later / Goodbye. See you tomorrow / Good night.
 - Summary of the period.
 - Give feedback. 
 Homework:
 - Write the greetings 5 times.
Week 1 UNIT 1: NICE TO MEET YOU AGAIN 
Period 4 Lesson 2: (4, 5, 6)
I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to: 
 +) listen & write the short dialogues to greet each other formally.
 - Good sts : apply in real dialogues
 - Weak sts : retell the dialogues by looking at the pictures.
 * Language focus: 
 - Write the short dialogues.
 II. Materials: Chu Van An Primary school Trần Hùng Dũng
 Grade 4
 - 3 good sts (in 2 teams) write on the board with the name of the characters.
 - weak sts write correctly the greetings only.
 - T’s feedback.
 Activity 4: Let’s play: Bingo
 * Procedure:
 - T explains how to play this game. 
 asks a good st retell the rule.
 sts play individually.
  Consolidation:
 - What we learn today .? => T reviews the lesson.

 Period 5 Lesson 3: (1, 2, 3)
I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to read correctly the sounds of the letters /l - n/ 
 & practice listening – chanting these sounds.
 - Good sts: read and chant well. 
 - Weak sts: know the sounds to read and chant. 
 * Language focus: 
 - Sound: “l, n”.
 - Chant: “Hello,friends!”
II. Materials:
 - Teacher’s: textbook, workbook, recording.
 - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards
III. Method: Audio Lingual Method / Work individually, pairwork, groupwork. 
III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up => Follow me

 * By the end of the lesson. Sts will be able to read & apply the form of student’s card to write 
 about themselves. 
 - Good sts: apply well in listening & writing. 
 - Weak sts: know how to introduce themselves simply. 
 * Language focus: 
 - Reading skill / Writing skill.
II. Materials:
 - Teacher’s: textbook, recording, word cards in pre - writing, poster in chant.
 - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards.
 III. Method: Communicative Language Teaching / Work individually, pairwork, groupwork. 
III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up Kim’s game 
 (Boy, Name, where, girl’s, Australia, hometown)
 - 2 teams (weak sts are prioritized) rewrite the words that they remember in the poster.

I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to talk about their homeland.
 - Goood sts: apply well these countries in speaking.
 - Weak sts: tell about their own homeland only.
 * Language focus: 
 - Vocabulary: America / England / Australia / Malaysia.
 - Strucrure:
 - Where are you from?
 I’m from Vietnam. Hỏi – đáp xem bạn từ đâu đến.
 II. Materials:
 - Teacher’s: CD, Textbook, poster in warmer, Maps of countries.
 - Students’: books, notebooks, crayons, pens, boards.
III. Method: Communicative Language Teaching, Work individually, pairwork, groupwork.
III. Teaching activities:
 * Warm up: Matching 
 A (persons) B (countries)
 Tony, Phong, Mai , Akio VN, Australia, Japan
 - T divides the class into 2 groups, 3sts (weak sts are prioritized) go to the board & match 
 The winner is the group finish matching first.

 => T uses explanation,visuals to elicit the words models one by one word.
