I. Objectives:
 * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
 -correctly identify and pronounce the words yogurt,yams,yo-yos, zoo, zebu and 
 zebra
 -correctly spell the words yogurt,yams,yo-yos, zoo, zebu and zebra
 -write the words yogurt,yams,yo-yos, zoo, zebu and complete the sentence 
 structures I want some ___ and Do you like the ___?Yes, I do/ No, I don’t
 - Ss can develop some following competences
 + Communicative and collaborative competence:act 1,3,4
 + Problem-solving competence: act 1,3
 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, 3,4 
 + Problem-solving and creative competence act 4
 *Language focus: 
 - Sound: Y/Z
 - Vocabulary: yogurt,yams,yo-yos, zoo, zebu and zebra
 - Differentiated teaching: 
 + Incomplete ss: can pronounce the name of the letter Y/Z in the words 
yogurt,yams,yo-yos, zoo, zebu and zebra
 + Well-completed ss: can pronounce the name of the letter Y/Z in the words 
yogurt,yams,yo-yos, zoo, zebu and zebra while listening
II. Materials:
 -Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards,CD.
 -Students’: books, crayons
III. Method:
 -Communicative Language Teaching
 -Total Physical Response
 -Natural Approach
 -3Ps
III. Teaching activities:
 Activity 1: Warm up 
 -
-Let pupils play the game What and Where, using the words they have learnt. +Draw pupils’attention to picture1. Ask them to describe the picture again. 
 +Write I want some______. on the board. En courage pupils to read and write 
the word to complete the quiz.Go around the class to offer help, if necessary
 +Have pupils say the complete sentence aloud. Do this several times, with 
pupils saying the sentence both individually and in chorus. Correct their prounciation 
if necessary, and praise them when their pronunciation is good.
 + Repeat the same procedure with the yams, the zoo and the zebu. Give 
further support to those pupils who find it difficult to do the task.
 + Ask pupils to work in pairs or in group
 + Invite some pupils to point to the picture and say the sentences in front of 
the class.
 Activity 4: 
 -Content 4: Let’s play 
 - Procedure:
 + Divide class into two groups
 + Ask Ss of two groups play game
 + Congratulate the winner
  Consolidation:
 - Content: Review the letter P/K and words (pasta, popcorn,pizza, 
 kite,bike and kitten)
 - Procedure:
 + Ask Ss to answer the following questions:
 What have you learnt from the lesson today? 
 What are the core values of the lesson? ( if the teacher can take 
 from the lesson). 
 + Praise some Ss who are hard working/ active/ good. as well as 
 encourage others to try more.
 + Give feedback 
  Homework:
 - Learn by heart the words yogurt,yams,yo-yos, zoo, zebu and zebra
