 UNIT 5: NATURAL WONDERS OF VIET NAM
 Lesson 1: Getting started – Geography Club
I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge
- Get an overview about the topic Natural wonders of Viet Nam
- Use vocabulary to describe wonders of Viet Nam
2. Competences
- Develop communication skills and creativity
- Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and team work
- Actively join in class activities
3. Personal qualities
- Develop their love for nature and some natural wonders of the country
II. MATERIALS 
- Grade 6 textbook, Unit 5, Getting started
- Computer connected to the Internet
- Projector / TV

 - Task 2: Complete the following sentences with the words from the box. (p.48)
 - Task 3: Listen and repeat the words, then label the pictures. (p.48)
 c. Expected outcomes:
 - Students can classify words to describe things in nature

Task 1: Listen and read. (8 mins)

Teacher randomly puts Ss in groups and asks them to make a poster about a natural wonder 
 they would like to visit. Ss give some information about it. Students will show and introduce 
 the attraction to the whole class in Lesson 7 – Looking back and Project. (Teacher should 
 check the progress of students’ preparation after each lesson.)

 b. Content:
 - Task 4: Listen and repeat the words. (p.40)
 - Task 5: Listen and repeat. Pay attention to the bold-typed parts of the words. (p.40)
 c. Expected outcomes:
 - Students can identify the sounds /t/ and /d/.
